The Dragondah Mysteries

DRAGONDAH      BRIMSTONES     PENHALIGONS

How 11-year-old Ottillee Bottomly joined forces with a bat, a fox and a local boy with no last name to solve ancient mysteries, outwit scheming villains, and rescue a magical corner of England that's as old as time itself...

A Mystery Adventure Series

The Dragondah Mysteries are for people aged about 9 years and over, I'm thinking. But they're also for anyone who likes solving tricky mysteries involving creepy caves, terrifying tunnels, extraordinary animals, and long-forgotten castles in Cornwall. Oh yes, and who also likes plucky heroines with more attitude than is good for them!

"Every now and again a book comes along that is a genuine joy to read, and I almost forget I'm meant to be critiquing it. Part One certainly fell into that category for me. Part Two is a wonderful sequel. Both are easy to read and often very funny."  ELEANOR HAWKEN • JERICHO WRITERS

"Effervescent characters bolster this diverting tale that celebrates youthful exuberance."

"This book reminded me of lots of the Enid Blyton books – which I also love. There’s adventure, mystery and lots of suspense. I think this author is a FAB writer for kids!” GIRL, AGED 12 (UK)

"Ottillee Bottomly has a very funny name. But I liked her anyway. She's brave and determined, which is the way a hero should be. The story is not difficult at all to follow, and there's lots happening – ALL THE TIME. Liked it a lot." GIRL, AGED 12 (UK)

“I liked Ottillee. I think that’s important as, if you don’t like the MC, it’s hard to like the book.”

BOY, AGED 12 (UK)

“I liked all the characters. A few of them were a bit odd – I think eccentric is the best word. I think this book is exciting and filled with suspense. I would read another book by this author.” GIRL, AGED 11 (UK)

THE DRAGONDAH MYSTERIES?

Once upon a time, Ottillee Bottomly lived very happily with her mum and dad in the leafy village of Bumstead in London. But one fateful day, her life changed forever. BUMSTEAD The Undoing of Ottillee Bottomly tells the story of what happened eighteen months before our heroine moved to Dragondah in Cornwall.
